Understanding THC limits (under 1mg) in vape products

As per the legal norms in the UK, the legal limit of THC is no more than 1 mg per container (The Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001). This is along with some other clauses like products should not be made to administer controlled substances, and it should not be possible to extract THC from such products.

Cannabis is a Class B controlled drug under Part II, Schedule 2, of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 (MDA 1971). It is also listed in Schedule 1 to the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001 (MDR 2001) and designated under the Misuse of Drugs (Designation) (England, Wales and Scotland) Order 2015 (2015 Order).”

Remember, controlled means that a substance can only be used in accordance with specific legal regulations. Even the cultivation of cannabis is controlled. It requires a license. Further, it is also vital to understand that there are two types of licenses for cannabis, one that is low in THC and another high in THC, and the procedure to get their licenses differs.

Many resources wrongly write that THC’s limit in the UK is 0.2%. This information is misleading. Basically, in the UK, cannabis varieties with low THC are regarded as those that do not produce more than 0.2% THC when grown. Obtaining a license to cultivate these plants is relatively simple. However, this also led to misunderstanding among people.

In reality, the law clearly says that the limit is 1 mg or less of THC in a container. This mostly means a concentration of less than 0.2%, but in smaller containers, this concentration may be even greater, and these products are still able to meet legal requirements.

The next important thing is that these products, like legal THC vapes, should not be made to administer THC. So, legal THC vapes are not used for their mind-altering properties, and they do not cause euphoria.

Thirdly, these products should be made in such a way that it is not possible to extract pure THC or controlled substances from this product. This also holds true for all legal THC vape pens. They only contain THC in small amounts mixed with various cannabinoids and terpenes, and there is no straightforward way to isolate them.

In fact, manufacturers of THC vape pens use whole-spectrum CBD to produce these products. Full-spectrum CBD naturally contains some THC. This small amount of THC is sufficient to boost its flavour, vaping experience, health benefits, and provide “the entourage effect,” but nothing more. No harm, no euphoria, no addiction, no confusion – just a safe product for regular use.

To sum up, THC is a controlled substance in the UK, but vape products may contain it in small amounts, no more than 1 mg in a vape pen or THC vape cartridge. To ensure compliance, these products have to undergo extensive testing. Furthermore, each product batch is tested by third-party labs to ensure compliance. Legal THC vapes are safe and made for regular or even daily use. They are made with safety in mind. One can buy the highest quality and some of the most potent legal THC vape pens
